What are symptoms of trauma?

Experiences of trauma may affect our mental, emotional, and physical health. Some people have symptoms of trauma without being aware of it. Trauma can manifest in the following symptoms:

  • Numbness
  • Nightmares and flashbacks
  • Dissociations
  • Depression and/ or anxiety
  • Overwhelming emotions
  • Social isolation
  • Avoidance of certain situations

Adverse childhood experiences can also have a trauma-like impact.

We know how difficult it is to go through this.

Counselling supports your recovery.

It doesn't have to stay this way.

While each person has their individual healing journey, there are common principles to recover from the effects of trauma. Counselling can support you in regaining control. In our collaboration, we will first evaluate your situation and define the goals that fit your needs. The goals also vary dependent on where you are in your healing journey. The areas outlined below are common for recovering from trauma
